Dear Colleagues and Friends,
EWOPA and the local organising committee in Manchester are excited to invite you and your colleagues to the 53rd annual meeting of EWOPA in Manchester, UK.
We hope to build on the excellent foundations and experience of all previous successful meetings in this vital and unique conference for the multi-disciplinary team. This non-hierarchical, MDT approach has been vital for the sharing of unique experiences, research, best-practice examples and networking with colleagues, all of whom share a passion for the psycho-social aspects of kidney disease in children.
We welcome doctors, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists, educators, psychiatrists, dietitians, socialworkers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, researchers, play therapists, healthcare assistants, paramedics, youth-workers, administrators and hospital managers alike. All have something to contribute and learn.
We want to make this meeting the largest and most varied to date and await abstract submissions with bated breath. Please do share this information amongst your colleagues and teams and expect a warm welcome to all in Manchester.

PROGRAMME:
The detailed programme will be published following the closure of the abstract submissions and review Phase on March 1st 2025.
The meeting this year will begin at 1400 on Thursday 12th June, finishing around 1700.
There will be a drinks welcome reception (Venue: TBC) from 1900 on Thursday evening.
There will be a full programme between 0900 and 1600 on Friday with the formal EWOPA conference networking dinner and entertainment (Venue : TBC includes organised restaurant meal and Live band/music. The networking dinner will require a separate contribution not covered by the registration fee. We invite all delegates to join us and register for the dinner when the registration opens on January 1st.)
The conference will also run on Saturday 14th between 0900 and 1300 before drawing to a close.
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION:
We invite all EWOPA members to submits abstracts outlining their work, projects, data collection, research and best practices/ideas. Once again we will organise a session covering complex medico-legal ethical dilemmas and particularly look forward to these cases. All formats of presentation are welcomes.

NB: This will be a face-to face meeting given the nature of material discussed and all presentations will be expected to be delivered in person.

Formal registration will open on January 1st 2025 but in the meantime, it would be useful to be able to plan the number of likely attendees so that we might negotiate the best entertainments/dinner/reception rates for all delegates, keeping overall costs down (which we can reflect I the registration fee)
